A UK campaign to prescribe art, music, dance, and singing lessons is planned to go in effect in 2023.

This ambitious initiative was unveiled in November by British Health Secretary, Matt Hancock. To read more, visit SmithsonianMag.

Known as ‘social prescribing,’ this links patience in primary care with support in the community. Hancock says that social prescribing the arts can help with the over-medicalisation of people.
